Huevos de oro (Golden balls) is a 1993 Spanish film directed by Bigas Luna. It stars Javier Bardem, Maria de Medeiros, Alessandro Gassman, Maribel Verdú and Benicio del Toro.

Plot

Javier Bardem, is Benito González, a flamboyant construction worker in Melilla. His dream was to build the tallest building ever in the region. His ambitions, extravagance and personal conflicts pummeled his dreams to the ground. Determined to satisfy his ambitions, Benito, waltzed through a life of excess, fetishes and deceptions that would ultimately send his life spiraling down.

The film makes direct and symbolic references to the work of Spanish Surrealist painter Salvador Dalí.
